Starting at 18:00 CET on 29 September, new national measures will be in operation to combat the spread of the coronavirus. The Dutch government is explicitly calling on employers to cooperate in limiting the spread of the virus, with working at home is becoming the norm. More and more people are going to work one or two days a week “and this has to stop now,” Dutch Prime Minister Mark Rutte asserted on 28 September, as he presented the new health measures to combat the spread Covid-19. No direct coercive measures are being planned apart from the warning that if a workplace is found to be contaminated then it can be closed for 14 days.
