Great Britain: almost one million working on ‘zero hour’ contracts. The UK’s Office for National Statistics (ONS) has estimated that in the final quarter of 2016 almost 905,000 people were working on zero-hour employment contracts (no guaranteed working time and no guaranteed salary), marking a sharp 13% rise or 101,000 extra people, over the same period in 2015.
