Portugal : parliamentary deputies reject lower employers’ contributions
Portugal’s deputies have refused to allow lower employer social contributions that had been tabled as a counterbalance to raising the minimum monthly wage from €530 to €557 (c.f. article No. 10003). A draft law had intended to lower employers contributions (TSU) by 1.25% to compensate for the €27 gross rise in the country’s minimum monthly wage.
