Hard to reach an agreement.  “We’re happy we’ve reached an agreement, which is a positive foundation for future collaboration” declared Håvard Hauan, OLF’s attorney.  The negotiations were tough and required a national mediator to step in this summer.  The negotiators were also afraid that, after the bargaining deadline expired, the 159 employees of the KCA Deutag drilling company, working for ESSO and STATOIL, were going to go on strike.
