On July 6, Industrienergi (energy workers’ union) and Norsk olje og gas (employers’ organization gathering businesses operating in the oil industry) reached an agreement in the oil services industry, thanks to the mediators who avoided the strike announced if the negotiations failed. The union rejoiced because this agreement focuses on the need to harmonize the pay scale between all offshore workers, regardless of their sector, and on the organization of labor, maintaining flexibility, so dear to Norsk olje og gas.
Towards a harmonized pay scale. Industrienergi is satisfied with the agreement, as explained by Leif Sande, in charge of the negotiations: “the point is to keep harmonizing the oil services’ agreement and those covering other offshore workers” (see article No. 8398).
