Norway: new law to better supervise sick leaves and encourage more effective collaboration between physicians, employees and employers

absenteeism was too high compared with other countries, the government amended the law on Working Environment and the Security of People (Arbeidsmiljøloven og folketrygdloven) on July 1st. This amendment affects physicians, employers and employees alike and encourages cooperation between them.
