Worrying prospects. For several years now, all studies on the issue converge. A study carried out by the Institute for Applied International Studies of Oslo (FAFO) in 2007 showed that a little more than one third of people aged 45-65 had to deal, simultaneously, with work and the growing precariousness of their elderly parents. And this created problems for nearly 40% of them. The ageing population could take these numbers up quickly and force the business world to react. In Norway, people aged 70+ increased by 10,000 over the past 15 years. However, in 2016 only (date when people born after the Second World War will celebrate their 60th birthday), this number will rise to 20,000!
