Dutch company will produce LCD modules for large televison sets near Wroclaw. 429 million Euros will be spent on this investment, and 3000 people will be employed. (Ref. 06610)

The official ceremony of the beginning of the construction of a LG Philips LCD factory took place on June 14, 2006. The plant, located in the outskirts of Wroclaw, is the largest greenfield investment ever in Poland. “In the new plant we will focus on producing LCD modules for large television sets. Thanks to our technology and Polish workers, the plant will become the leading center in Europe in terms of production capacity, quality and technology,” announced LG Philips LCD Poland’s president,
