According to the daily newspaper Gazeta Prawna, the Polish government is preparing a bill on the labour market which aims at fighting unemployment and to stimulate the employment of seniors. Among other things, companies would be obliged to contribute to vocational training funds, and employers who create new jobs would be granted free loans. (Ref. 06395)
The law on the labour market should replace that relating to the promotion of employment and the institutions of the labour market. The project is currently being examined by social partners. Parliamentary work on the project should begin in autumn. Two series of measures are contained in this bill.
