the major drop in orders on the steel market, Arcelor-Mittal Poland increased the number of job cuts, which may exceed the 1.480 initially planned for 2009. Representatives of the metallurgical industry and trade unions are worried about the future of the entire sector and call upon the government to step in at the hands of growing competition from Russian steel.
