Poland: new regulations over public procurement should also help combat social dumping
In October 19th an important amendment of PPL came into force, which aims to counteract problems encountered in the public procurement process in Poland, such as competition among companies based solely on price, social dumping, and the lack of possibility to revalue already concluded contracts. Observers comment that this reform, which implements the recent reform of European regulations, could encourage those tendering to employ people on classic work contracts rather than resorting en masse to civil law contracts.
