The CGTP and UGT union joined forces on Thursday, June 27 for a 24-hour strike. They say this day of action was exceptional but the government says the country was not paralyzed. Unions demand a new policy and the CGTP even urges the government to resign. General strike. The general strike was launched on Wednesday, June 26 for 24 hours. Turnout was particularly high in urban transportation, health, general administrative services and national education.
