The Commerce and Services Union is fighting the Association of Retailing Companies (APED) which wants to implement the Labor Code amendments introduced in 2012. Both parties are currently bargaining for the sector’s collective agreement. Employee representatives believe that the changes to working time (bank of hours) will be detrimental to workers’ personal life, as they will impose unsteady hours. Flexibility.
