nizations in the country are asking for wage increases ranging between 2 and 4% for next year. They are also calling for an increase in Portuguese minimum wage as mentioned during social dialogue with the previous government. (Ref. 110526)

The General Confederation of Portuguese Workers is calling for a 4% wage
increase in 2012. The union is pointing
to the inflation rate (3.5%) and to the increase in employees’ fiscal
burden. The wage claim will be the
CGTP’s priority.
