It is also clear that the “alliance” will considerably increase employment risks in both companies.” This second meeting of union coordination (the first one took place in March, see our dispatch No. 120177), was “called in view of the lack of information and consultation on the part of the management of the two companies,” and led to a “Statement of the European Metalworkers’ Federation (EMF) on the situation at Opel/Vauxhall and PSA.” The latter provides for 5 measures:
