The International Metalworkers' Federation (IMF) denounced the refusal by the management of the German group Rheinmetall (23.000 employees) to financially support a meeting of trade union representatives to talk about the enforcement of the global framework agreement signed in 2003. The international trade union federation organized a meeting with the German union IG Metall on June 12 and 13 in Neckarsulm in Germany, to gather union and staff representatives of Rheinmetall in several countries (Germany, Austria, France, Brazil, Spain, Italy and Switzerland) in order to discuss the enforcement of social responsibility principles adopted by the management, the IMF and the European works council in a framework agreement signed in 2003.
