Planned increase.  While the measure has yet to be ratified, the announcement is official.  Sulfina Barbu, Romanian Minister of Labor, confirmed that minimum wage would go from RON 670 currently up to 700.  Unions had called for a bigger increase – RON 800 (€186) or even RON 1,000 (€232) – but they didn’t hold out much hope.
