The French pharmaceutical group Sanofi-Aventis' management opened talks with a view to setting up a collective negotiation structure at the European level. The goal would be to be able to start negotiating at this level as early as 2008, as part of an entity dedicated to this purpose. (Ref. 070429)
This discussion is currently taking place within a work group composed of the EWC’s office nine members: four French representatives (CFDT, CGT, CGC and FO,) two German representatives and one representative for each of the following countries: Great Britain, Spain, and Italy (see our story n° 070203). The goal is to come to a text on the establishment of a European social dialogue body, which could be submitted to the European trade union organizations EMCEF and Feccia.
