Serbia’s law on financial support for families with children has undergone several amendments, which are effective as of 1 August. In particular, special paid paternal childcare leave has been introduced. To benefit from this allowance, the father must present relevant medical documentation confirming that the child’s state of health justifies taking the leave, which may last until the child’s fifth birthday if their health is seriously impaired.
