The amendment to the bill on illegal work and illegal employment will take effect on 1 July 2006. Thanks to this new legislation, small entrepreneurs and self-employed people will not have to sign contracts with their family members who help them in their businesses. According to the Slovak Ministry of Labor, Social Affairs and Family, the current legislation experienced problems in its practical application and had to be amended in February 2006.
