On 24 January, labour minister Luka Mesec decided to raise the minimum wage in 2025, in the absence of an agreement between employers and unions. The gross monthly level will rise from €1,253.90 to €1,277.72, with retroactive effect from 1 January. The increase represents a rise of 1.9%, corresponding to the level of inflation in Slovenia over one year to December. This adjustment meets the expectations of employers, but does not please the unions, who were calling for a 3.5% increase....
