Sodexo creates a global social protection base for its employees

On 21 February, Sodexo, the French food services and facilities management company announced the creation of its Vita benefits programme that will provide all of the group’s 422,000 employees with four core benefits:

• a 24-hour helpline providing practical advice and psychological support;
• a death benefit providing the employee’s ‘dependents’ at least the equivalent of one year’s salary;
• paid parental leave of 12 weeks for the first parent and 2 weeks for the second parent;
• 5 days of paid leave...
