Signed on 02 June between the CCOO union and AndBank, a private bank headquartered in Andorra that has been operating in Spain since 2012, the landmark agreement is the first to set out the principles and ethical standards that should govern the banking profession. The agreement aims to lay the foundations for a ‘new banking culture’ by putting forward a professional conduct model that can apply throughout the sector.
This agreement follows on from the framework of professional ethical requirements outlined in the XIII banking sector collective agreement that was signed on 19 April 2016 (c.f. article No. 9618).
