The leader of the employers' confederation CEOE accepted the principle of the gradual increase of the minimum interprofessional wage (SMI) promised by José Luis Rodriguez Zapatero, but doesn't want it to start now because of the uncertain economic situation in the country. (Ref. 080343)
Following the electoral program of the newly-reelected predient Zapatero, the SMI should increase of 30%, going from €600 to €800 by 2012.
