On 20 February, the Spanish labour minister opened the proceedings of a committee of international experts, invited to assess the quality of democracy in companies and to make proposals to develop employee participation. The aim is to produce a draft bill by next September.
“Without democracy at work, democracy is incomplete,” said Spanish labour minister Yolanda Diaz, during the presentation of the committee, which has seven months ahead of it to define the keys to a strategy for democratising companies.
