Ramon Jauregui is the initiator and has been the leader over the last seven years of the debate on the issue of social responsibility and particularly with the creation of a parliamentary commission. He has always defended greater involvement of the social actors in order to make CSR a project supported throughout society. Leading his group in parliament, he is one of the major promoters of the new national CSR council. Composed of 56 members, the council is a quadripartite organ bringing together representatives of the administration, employers, unions and organizations (NGOs, consultants, academics….) (see dispatch n° 080898). The council will act as consultant to the government, a forum for debate and an observatory of corporate practices.
