The CCOO and UGT metal secotor federations signed, on May 13, the 9th collective agreement of the electricity company Red Électrica de España (REE), which will regulate the working conditions of the 1.300 employees working there for the next six years. Unions welcomed the agreement's innovative aspect, since it facilitates employees' work-life balance. (Ref. 080395)
Measures to facilitate work-life balance. According to unions, this text represents a big step forward for employees’ rights. It bets on conciliation and develops several initiatives beyond the company’s legal obligations. One of the measures adopted creates a 2-hour flexible time slot, with the possibility to start working between 7:30 and 9:30 a.m. It notably offers the possibility, to men and women, to reduce their work day of 7 to 50% to take care of their minor children, up to 9 years old,
