…Spain: preventative isolation to combat the spread of the coronavirus will be treated as sick leave
Spain’s Social Security Ministry has announced that SARS-CoV-2 related preventative isolation will count as sick leave and as such qualifies for daily sick leave compensation. The Social Security Ministry sets a clear criterion to resolve business-employee differences in opinion and indicates that ‘SARS-CoV-2 preventative isolation for workers will be considered as a situation of temporary work incapacity stemming from a common widespread illness.’
