The supreme court has just confirmed the legality of the double salary scale used by the car manufacturer Nissan Motor Iberica in Catalonia when hiring new employees. This is the end of a long legal battle carried out by the trade unions CCOO and CGT. (Réf. 06443)
The supreme Court took into account the difficulties of the company at the time when it adopted this standard. The judgment considers that the discrimination which results from this is not unjustified and that it does not violate in an unjustified way the right to equality between workers.
