The UGT central union confederation has embarked upon its reorganization program by merging its currently operating federations with an end goal of leaving just three mega-federations covering industry, services, and the public sector.

This far-reaching overhaul of the UGT structure is in line with the confederation’s re-organization project that it established during its 42nd federal congress held in March 2016 (c.f. article No. 9549 and 9095).
