Spain: unions call for a general strike against the labor law reform on March 29

The two union leaders said the government was responsible for the strike because of “the way it acted and its carelessness” in presenting the reform without even discussing it with the trade unions (for more information about the reform, read articles No.  120100 and 120125).  Toxo says, “The government’s decisions made it impossible not to strike” against “the most regressive reform in the history of Spanish democracy.”  “There has been no precedent in the country’s entire history of such as brutal change, and it is taking us into unknown territory” Méndez added.
