Following accusations of ignoring the use of child labor in its 35% owned joint venture unit in Pakistan, the Finnish pulp and paper manufacturer has signed a partnership with the ILO to eliminate child labor in the value chain in Pakistan. From the ILO perspective this type of partnership offers an opportunity to strengthen the efficacy of its program by working with the economic actors in the target countries.
A company accused of not having acted against child labor.
