Collective negotiations that came to a close in Sweden on 18 May confirmed the increasing importance of the temporary employment sector, especially given the undercurrent of unemployment in the country. The negotiations secured salary increases in line with industry standards, and by according the sector better working conditions, they have allowed temporary employment to be more attractive.
Salary increases in line with industry standards. The agreement runs for twelve months from 01 May 2016 to 30 April 2017. As with the industry sector, the agreement provides an overall wage increase of 2.2%:
1-for senior staff and Unionen members (private sector employees union):
- Minimum monthly wage for those aged 20 of 16,833 crowns (€1,810)
- Minimum monthly wage for those aged 24 of 19,505 crowns (€2,100)
- Guaranteed amount per person 235 crown (€25,38)
