Conscious of the fact that Sweden’s economy still has to promote worker exchanges and the posting of workers, on 14 December the government decided to propose a series of legislative amendments that will lead to a better framework for posted employment conditions as well as giving unions back to means to secure minimum levels of collective standards. The changes are set to come into force on 01 July 2017.
“Competition should be built between companies and not on the back of poor working conditions. Sweden’s unions should always insist on a Swedish collective agreement, and if necessary pursue union action to this end.
