Sweden: new sectoral agreement in communications provides for 2.9% wage increase

A central agreement that fits with market reality.  Several unions, SEKO (workers’ unions in, notably, the energy, postal, telecommunications, traffic, road and transportation sectors), ST (union of government employees), Ledarna (union of heads of services and managers) and 4 unions affiliated with the SACO Confederation (union confederation of college graduates), signed a central agreement with the Almega employers’ organization (union of businesses in the service sector).  This agreement notably affects businesses such as Posten AB, Posten Logistik AB, Posten Meddelande AB, Bring Citymail, Swedavia, Sweroad and Menzies Aviation AB.  In the postal sector alone, about 35,000 employees are concerned.
