Following the sectoral agreement signed in 2013, a working group was set up. One of its missions was to think about ways to secure employees in case of a transfer of activities. However, Seko, the service and communication workers’ union, recently announced that it was leaving this group and terminating the central agreement. Indeed, the union is in a conflict with Veolia Transport - suspecting the company of trying to generalize part time/temporary work - and is trying to put pressure, issuing a strike notice for June 2.
Conflict between Veolia and Seko. The Öresundstågen line is special as it cross the bridge between Sweden and Denmark. On the Danish side, the segment is still run by DSB but on the Swedish side, it had to give it up because of financial troubles. Veolia took over in 2011. The operation agreement was renewed in December 2013 for 5 years, to which 2 more years can be added if necessary. This new contract provides for a new line and the budget is 10 percent lower than the previous one. ...
