The Swedish decision follows the line prohibiting bonuses this year for all public firms as well as the negative vote of the Swedish State on bonuses in all firms with public participation. The sensitivity of Swedish public opinion to this issue is such that private firms like Volvo trucks and the bank SEB have withdrawn their proposals for a new remuneration system of management.
