On 12 May, Spanish telephone operator Telefonica together with UNI Global Union, and the CCOO and UGT trade unions, signed a global agreement that sets out a ‘return to work’ framework for the company's more than 120,000 employees worldwide (mainly located in Latin America). It is the first agreement of this kind, to our knowledge.
With this agreement, each of the signatories, in each country, is responsible for ratifying and/or agreeing on specific local plans and timetables that must be compliant with the measures provided for by the competent local authorities, and reflect at local level the agreement’s provisions.
