During the European Council of last 23 and 24 March, the Heads of State and government of the Twenty-five revived the Lisbon strategy while setting the objective to create six million jobs between now and 2007. Social partners should be better associated to reforms. (Réf. 06294)
The Heads of State and government announced the creation of six million jobs over the period 2005-2007, to reach, in 2010, an employment rate of 70%. Concerning the priority actions, they recommend:
- More investment in knowledge and innovation;
- A development of companies’ potential, in particular of SME;
