The TNT group announced, on 11 April, 1000 to 1100 job cuts between now and 2008 on six postal sorting sites (Amsterdam, Rotterdam, the Hague, Den Bosch, Zwolle and Nieuwegein). By removing one third of its Netherlands sorting staff, the group, which is owned at 19% by the Dutch State, wants to make savings of 15 to 20 million euros per year.
