On 30 June 2017, oil and energy group Total renewed and amended the agreement  governing the functioning of its European works council, in order to take into account how it has evolved since 2013.

The agreement was overhauled in 2012 (see article n°120653), to bring European-level representation into one body, bringing together the EWC and the French Group Council. The renewed agreement features changes to take into account the way this body has evolved since it was created.


The Strategy Commissions, which were set up to foster analysis and discussions of different strategic areas, so as to prepare and to provide clarity on the work to be done by the EWC, have been reviewed. There are now
