TUI: renewal of the agreement on the TUI Europa Forum, the European staff representation structure

Composition. Employees of the companies concerned by the agreement are “divided up according to TUI’s branches.” Staff representatives are divided this way: “each country shall nominate one employee to the TUI Europa Forum (…) provided that at least 100 employees are employed in that segment (…). If there are 1501 employees or more, two employees shall be nominated.” The staff representatives are nominated for four years, which any be renewed several times. Besides, “internal and external visitors may be invited to the meetings of the TUI Europa Forum by mutual agreement.”

In 1995, a European information structure, called “TUI Europa Forum” was created, in preparation for the 1994 directive. On July 17, 2008, the TUI Europa Forum and the management of TUI AG signed an agreement renewing this structure, aimed at “contributing to the transparency of the company’s decisions, overcoming/meeting economic, social and environmental challenges at European level and accepting integrative missions.”
