After consulting with businesses and trade unions, the UK's Labour government introduced amendments to its employment rights bill on 4 March. The proposed changes aim to guarantee all employees contracts that reflect the hours actually worked, as well as statutory sick pay from day one. They also strengthen protection against dismissal as well as social dialogue.
