The emblematic British retailer Marks & Spencer has unveiled a new flexible working proposition for more than 3,000 retail managers, available from January 2023. Dubbed “Worklife”, the programme announced on 1 November seeks to foster a better work-life balance for employees. It will allow managers to choose from three options: the traditional five-day week, a “compressed” four-day week or a “nine-day compressed fortnight”, comprising a four-day week and a five-day week over a two-week period. “
