United States: biggest ever mass rally demanding a generalized rise in low wages is set for April 15 (4/15)
The ‘Fight for $15’ movement focuses primarily on achieving a general rise in the lowest salaries to fifteen dollars (compared with the federal minimum of 7.25$). However the movement’s scope is getting broader as it attempts to gather together low paid workers from a vast array of industries as well as those “who believe we deserve better”. Next Wednesday April 15 (4/15, or “for $15”) organizers expect the international day of protest to rally some 60,000 from the U.S. and 35 other countries.
