The war of attrition being waged against the NLRB (National Labor Relations Board) continues. The majority led Senate adopted a proposition that blocks the NLRB’s December 2014 new union election regulation aimed at speeding up the process of union presence in businesses.
The NLRB had changed the rules over union recognition. The much debated project dates back to 2011 and was expected to be implemented by mid April (c.f. article No.8787 and for more details c.f. article No. 8161). It provided for a shorter period of time to elapse between a union campaigning for its presence in a business and the actual vote.
