United Steelworkers (USW) announced, on Tuesday, January 31, a few hours before the previous framework agreement, in force since 2009, expired, a new three-year deal with Shell, representing oil businesses, a sector where the USW has 30,000 members in 168 companies. Neither the union nor the company revealed the terms of the agreement, which will be brought to the bargaining table of each oil group where the USW is present (Texaco, Chevron, ExxonMobil…) and then subject to the members’ vote.
