In the end, Boeing technical engineers agreed to the four-year pay deal negotiated with the group’s management. Most of the 7,500 employees affiliated with the Society of Professional Engineering Employees in Aerospace (SPEEA) ratified the agreement: 4,244 voted yes, 654 said no and the others didn’t vote. This change of hearts came after the vote on February 19 when SPEEA members turned the management’s offer down while the 15,500 professional engineers represented by the same union accepted
