On June 08, the French environmental services company renewed its EWC agreement. In it are laid out arrangements on how members of the EWC bureau can contribute to the group’s strategic direction. It also contains provisions that aim to improve the quality of dialogue and make the results of dialogue more visible in “country social dialogue spaces”. These ‘spaces’ are specific to the Veolia agreement and are there to enable exchange on intra-country cross-business issues so as to get a 360 degree view of the multiservice group’s businesses.

The agreement signed on June 08 revises the original 2005 agreement that was subsequently amended in 2010 when it aligned with the Directive Recast 2009/38 (c.f. article No. 100885). The revision lowers the seat threshold from 500 employees to 300 for the first designated representative and from 5,000 to 3,000 employees for the second, and so on. Salary thresholds for starting information and consultation procedures have also been lowered to take into account Veolia’s divestment of the transpor
