The day after the Court of Justice of the European Communities condemned the Volkswagen law (see our article N°70877), the employees of the car manufacturer experienced another disappointment. The Stuttgart Labour Court rejected, on October 24, 2007, the complaint Volkswagen's European works council had filed against the provisions of the agreement on staff representation within the future Porsche Automobil Holding SE. Judging that this agreement did not take enough consideration of VW employees’ interests, Volkswagen’s EWC had applied for summary judgment in order to prevent the new European company (SE) from registering to the trade register (see our article No. 070780).
